With the change in the minimum wage and civil servant salary coefficient in January, the severance cap and notice pay amounts will increase. The lowest annual net severance pay is expected to exceed 42 thousand lira.
Severance pay is calculated on the employee's final gross wage including all allowances. Payment is made after stamp tax is deducted. Currently, the minimum annual gross severance pay for a minimum wage earner is 33,030 lira.
