The temporary safeguard measure published by the European Commission on 18 September will enter into force on 25 September. A tariff quota of 14,161.55 tonnes was allocated to Türkiye for lamination and cores; the duration is 155 days.
The measure covers products used in power transformers and inductors. The EU stated that the rapid increase in imports put pressure on European producers. The quota allocated to Türkiye will be valid until 26 February 2027.
