90 universities from Türkiye enter URAP field ranking, İTÜ leads in 28 fields

In the 2025-2026 world field ranking by METU Informatics Institute's URAP, the number of universities from Türkiye rose from 89 to 90, with İTÜ leading in 28 fields. 2,566 universities from 121 countries were listed across 78 fields.

Türkiye ranks 25th in real GDP per capita growth from 1990 to 2025

According to a ranking based on World Bank data, Türkiye's real GDP per capita rose from $12,200 in 1990 to $37,300 in 2025, a 206% increase that placed it 25th. Guyana, China and Equatorial Guinea top the list.
