According to a ranking based on World Bank data, Türkiye's real GDP per capita rose from $12,200 in 1990 to $37,300 in 2025, a 206% increase that placed it 25th. Guyana, China and Equatorial Guinea top the list.
The calculations strip out the impact of inflation and use purchasing power parity to account for price differences between countries. Asian countries such as China, Myanmar, Vietnam, India and South Korea stood out in the top 25. Guyana topped the list with a 1,549 percent increase.
