Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced that 20 people had been arrested in manipulative trading investigations and that 51 people had been banned from leaving the country. In Istanbul's fresh fruit and vegetable pricing investigation, all 40 suspects referred to court were arrested.
Of the 20 arrested, 4 are fund board chairpersons and members, and 16 are those who made speculative posts on social media. Access to 246 social media accounts was blocked, and precautionary measures were placed on the suspects' bank accounts and all assets. In the fresh fruit and vegetable investigation, all 40 detainees, except for one sought suspect, were arrested.
