On September 16, an access block was applied to 22 more X accounts, including those of journalists İrfan Değirmenci and Şirin Payzın and soL Haber, as well as women's organizations. The blocks, ongoing since September 12, have so far covered 419 accounts.
The latest list includes figures such as TİP PM member İrfan Değirmenci, soL Haber, the Turkish Women's Associations Federation, the Women's Coalition and Ugandan activist Frank Mugisha. The accounts have not yet been made invisible by X from Türkiye. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said the decisions were taken on grounds of 'obscene content'.
