Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that 44 countries in the world are in the least developed country category and held a green industrialization mechanism meeting within the scope of COP31.
Kacır hosted the High-Level Dialogue on the LDC-GIF Mechanism within the 81st UN General Assembly in New York. Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum and Türkiye's candidate for UN FAO Director-General Mehmet Mehdi Eker also attended the meeting. Kacır said they aim to establish a mechanism for the green industrialisation of least developed countries within COP31.
