Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reported that cargo shipments rose 5% in the first 6 months of 2026 to 728.31 million. 82% of shipments weighed 2 kilograms or less, and more than 83% were transported between cities.
According to ministry data, 96 percent of shipments were corporate and only 4 percent were individual. The intensive use of e-commerce platforms shaped this structure. The share of shipments between 2-20 kilograms was 17 percent, and those over 20 kilograms was 1 percent.
