Istanbul Airport busiest in Europe, ranks 5th worldwide

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that, according to the EUROCONTROL report, Istanbul Airport was Europe's busiest airport on September 7-13 with an average of 1,643 daily flights, ranking 5th in the world with 829 departures.

Istanbul Airport was followed by Amsterdam with 1,413 daily flights and Paris Charles de Gaulle with 1,407. Antalya Airport also ranked among Europe's top 10 busiest airports with an average of 969 daily flights. Overall, Türkiye became the sixth busiest country in Europe with an average of 4,191 daily flights.
