President of the Union of Turkish Agricultural Chambers (TZOB) Şemsi Bayraktar stated that frost occurred in 65 provinces last year followed by drought, and this year floods, hail, and tornadoes imposed costs on producers. He noted that work is being carried out regarding drought.
Bayraktar noted that this year, in addition to floods and hailstorms, tornadoes have also been observed in recent years. Stating that serious aid was provided for the frost disaster, Bayraktar said they had presented the drought process to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and that work was underway.
