The ministry announced it has assigned inspectors to examine transactions at the Ordu, Giresun, Ünye and Fatsa Commodity Exchanges. It said administrative sanctions would be applied if activities disrupting market balance and free competition are identified during the inspections.
The statement recalled that hazelnut prices and market practices come to the public agenda during harvest seasons. It said the inspections aim to protect producers' rights and cover production costs. It was stated that the inspectors' work is ongoing.
