Yapı-Yol Sen announced that it calculated the 30-year revenue of the 2 Bosphorus bridges and 8 highways brought into the privatization scope by a decision published in the Official Gazette on September 5 at $25.2 billion. A separate Presidential Decree also brought 4 Treasury properties in Bodrum and Sarıyer into the scope.
The union argues that the targeted 3.5-4 billion dollar price is a tenth of the 30-year revenue. All the properties in the privatisation scope belong to the Treasury and the process will be completed by 31 December 2028. The Bodrum sites include a peninsula tip in Gündoğan and a beach in Kumbahçe.
