According to Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, one in every two traffic accidents in Türkiye involves a motorcycle; the ministry has prepared a "Motorcycle Action Plan." According to Türkiye Gazetesi, 16% of these accidents involve couriers.
According to ministry data, 9,891,408 motorcycles were inspected in the first 8 months of the year. Compared to the 2021-2025 average, fatalities in fatal and injury accidents decreased by 328 people. Experts recommended regulating couriers' working hours and creating motorcycle waiting areas.
