According to the circular signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, the implementation period of the 2020-2023 plan has ended and the "2030 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan" has been prepared. The circular set out the coordination role of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change.
The decree said it was aimed at adopting new technologies in cities and ensuring integrity in services under the vision of an 'advanced society, advanced technology, sustainable and resilient world'. It will be carried out under the coordination of the Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Ministry.
