Report says THY's order for 150 Boeing jets could be signed next week

According to a Daily Sabah report citing Reuters, the order for 150 Boeing 737 Max jets, which had stalled due to an engine maintenance dispute, is back on track and could be signed next week. Boeing and CFM declined to comment, and THY did not respond to a request for comment.

The order was part of a 225-aircraft package announced following a meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Donald Trump last year. The dispute stems from the airline's demand for an industrial arrangement covering engine maintenance. Erdoğan and Trump are expected to meet in New York next week.
