The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) plans to introduce progressive fines and bans from football activity for repeat statements targeting referees and the Central Referee Board (MHK), modeled on the English system.
The planned model envisages making existing fines more deterrent and gradually increasing penalties based on the repetition of the violation. It is aimed that sanctions are not limited to monetary fines and that deprivation of rights penalties are also applied. The system is expected to take effect shortly.
