Fidan: We would have no problem meeting Saudi Arabia's military needs

Following attacks the Houthis claimed on Riyadh and Red Sea energy facilities on Sept. 19, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan cited alliance duties in the Mecca Alliance, stating military needs in technical areas could be met. The US State Department warned the conflict could escalate rapidly.

Fidan stated that the institutionalization process of the Mecca Alliance has come to an end. He said the alliance could open up to new regional countries. He expressed that Riyadh should not be drawn into the US-Iran conflict.
