Arab Coalition Spokesperson Brigadier General Turki al-Malki reported that a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis toward Riyadh on Saturday morning was destroyed by air defenses. Türkiye's Foreign Ministry had previously condemned an attempted drone attack targeting Mecca; the Houthis denied such an attempt.
The coalition spokesman said civilians in Riyadh, home to more than 8 million people, were being 'deliberately and systematically' targeted. Türkiye's Foreign Ministry had condemned the attack attempt based on the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement signed last month. The Houthis, however, had denied the claim of a drone attack attempt on Riyadh.
