Citing Treasury and Finance Ministry budget data, Nefes reported that rent expenses from January to August 2026 totaled 25.712 billion lira (TL); the largest item was 9.907 billion lira (TL) spent on staff shuttle rentals.
By the eighth month, 66 percent of last year's total rental expenditure had been reached. Vehicle rentals rose 33 percent to 4.1 billion liras. Service building rents, which should have been restricted by the savings circular, approached 3.5 billion liras.
