The Foreign Ministry said it "strongly" condemned a Houthi drone attack targeting Mecca and reiterated its support for Saudi Arabia's sovereignty. The Saudi military said the drone was shot down south of the city; Houthi official Hizam al-Assad denied the claim.
Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran also said he condemned the attack attempt. While the Saudi army announced the drone was destroyed in the south of the city, Houthi official Hizam al-Asad denied the claim, calling it a "stale lie."
