In Şişli, Istanbul, suspect S.S. was detained at home after being identified insulting a woman walking on the street and uttering insulting remarks toward Atatürk in mobile phone footage. The suspect will reportedly be referred to court for "threats," "insults," and "insulting Atatürk."
The suspect has six police records for drugs, intentional injury, theft, and sexual harassment. It was reported that he repeated the words from the video in front of the police. An investigation was launched based on the statement of the woman who recorded the incident.
