The İstanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance lifted the injunctions it had issued on September 2, 2025 in the CHP İstanbul Provincial Congress case; the duties of Gürsel Tekin and the interim board came to an end. Tekin said Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had appointed him provincial chairman and stated he continues in his post as an "appointee."
The court ruled to lift the interim measures applied with the interim decision dated September 2, 2025. copies of the decision were sent to the Istanbul Provincial Election Board and the Istanbul Governorship. CHP officials said the issue would be on the agenda at next week's MYK meeting but that no hasty decision would be made.
