The Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) Second Chamber unanimously decided to temporarily suspend Bozova Public Prosecutor Türkşad Kunthan Uçuk from duty for three months. Afterward, the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation for "insulting a public official" and issued a detention order.
The decision came after a video containing insults entered the case file of a lawsuit filed against Uçuk's wife at the Tekirdağ 4th Heavy Penal Court. Uçuk had been appointed from Pınarhisar to the Bozova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on September 7. The detention order by the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was issued within the scope of the investigation into the crime of 'insulting a public official'.
