YÖK announced that candidates who were placed in the 2026 YKS but did not register or cancelled their registration before 9 December 2026 can start in 2026-2027. The last application date is 9 December 2026.
Under the provisional Article 85 added to the Higher Education Law with Law No. 7592 published in the Official Gazette, candidates meeting the conditions can start classes in the 2026-2027 academic year.
