German chemical company Bayer announced it will close its crop protection products plant in Gebze, where it has produced for 60 years, at the end of 2027.
The company said production at the plant will be shifted to its other facilities in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. It was announced that a supportive process will be carried out for the 55 employees working at the Gebze plant. It was stated that commercial operations in Türkiye will continue uninterrupted.
